Grapefruit comes from the fruit of a grapefruit tree most commonly found in California, Florida, Asia and Israel. It has a fresh sweet citrus aroma and is said to help with depression, headaches, nervous exhaustion, performance stress, muscle fatigue and colds. Ylang Ylang comes from the flowers of the tropical ylang ylang tree that is known as the "flower of flowers" because of its exotic scent. It is used to calm, relax and uplift your spirits and is considered the most exotic and sensual aromatic oil. Ylang Ylang is associated with the Water Element and corresponds with the Career gua. This oil is a perfect companion in the bedroom, but check with your partner, as Ylang Ylang can be overwhelming to some. And a word to the wise, this scent is strong, so a little goes a long way!
